1. Who we are

This website is operated by Amato Automotive Inc (“we”, “us”), which offers the Autoform brand of seat covers, floor mats and car accessories in Canada. Amato Automotive Inc is a company of Amato Automotive Pvt. Ltd., India, which designs and makes Autoform products.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It does not cover other websites, including websites we link to.

2. How this website works

This website shows our product range and lets you contact us. You cannot buy products or create an account on it, so we do not collect payment card details or passwords. If you ask to buy, we may put you in touch with an authorised dealer, who will handle your purchase under their own privacy policy.

3. Information we collect

When you contact us through our form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the type of enquiry, the products or vehicle you ask about, your message, and your agreement to this policy.
When you email us: your email address and the content of your message.
Automatically: technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request. We use this to run and secure the website. Beyond that, we collect browsing information only for the cookie categories you allow.

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as financial, health or government identification details. Please do not include it in your messages.

4. How we use it

to answer your questions and give product and fitment advice;
to respond to dealer and business enquiries, and to connect you with a dealer when you ask;
to keep a record of our communications with you;
to operate and secure the website, including preventing spam and misuse;
with your permission, to understand how the website is used and to send you marketing messages; you can withdraw your permission at any time;
to comply with the law and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

5. Cookies and your choices

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We group them as follows:

Strictly necessary: needed to run the website, such as remembering your cookie choice. Always on.
Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the website. Off unless you allow them.
Marketing: used to measure campaigns and show relevant advertising on other websites. Off unless you allow them.

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject the optional categories or choose for yourself. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of marketing cookies. We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals because there is no common standard for them.

At present this website uses only strictly necessary cookies and does not use analytics or advertising tools. If we add any, we will name them in this policy, and they will run only if you allow that category.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

with Amato Automotive Pvt. Ltd., our parent company in India, whose staff help answer enquiries and operate the systems behind this website;
with service providers that host the website, store data and deliver email for us, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions;
with an authorised dealer, when you ask us to connect you with one;
where required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or others;
with a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganised, subject to this policy.

7. Where your information is stored

Our website systems and the staff who answer enquiries are in India. Your personal information is therefore transferred to, stored and processed in India, outside Canada. We protect it with contracts, access controls and the security measures described below. Laws in India may differ from those where you live, and authorities in India may be able to access information under local law.

8. How long we keep information

We keep enquiries and our replies for up to 3 years after our last contact with you, so we can follow up and keep accurate records, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Cookie choices are kept in your browser for 12 months. After that, we delete or anonymise the information.

9. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to staff who need it, and spam protection on our forms. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive information.

By submitting an enquiry, you consent to us collecting and using your personal information for the purposes in this policy, including its transfer to India. Optional cookies are used only with your express consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual limits; this may affect our ability to answer your enquiry.

11. Your privacy rights in Canada

We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25) and the private-sector privacy laws of Alberta and British Columbia.

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to be informed about how it is used and shared, and to withdraw your consent. Email us at info@autoformindia.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We will respond within 30 days, and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

12. Person in charge of personal information

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

13. Marketing messages

We send commercial electronic messages only with your consent, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every message identifies us and includes a way to unsubscribe, which we act on within 10 business days.

14. Children

This website is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Other websites

Links to other websites, including our social media pages, are provided for convenience. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information.

16. Changes to this policy

We review this policy regularly and may update it. The “Last updated” date shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will highlight them on this page.
